Independence Day Celebration- Thursday, July 2, 2009 12- 1:00 p.m.
SGA will be holding an event to celebrate our Independence Day. There will Watermelon seed spitting contest, an apple pie eating contest and SGA will be giving away free ice cream! Points will be given to everyone who signs-in.
Fundraising Opportunities
CineSol Film Festival- September 11-12 in Cultural Arts Center
This is a great opportunity for your club to start the new semester with some money in the bank account. The CineSol Film Festival brings together independent film makers to show their stuff. The whole community is invited to this event, making this a great fundraising opportunity. For more information or to reserve a table, call Melanie Zuniga at 364-4116.

Constitution Meeting- Tuesday, June 30, 2009 in SGA Office @ 12:00 p.m.
This is an opportunity to make and suggest changes to the constitution and bylaws that SGA and the clubs follow. If you would like to make a difference, come to the constitution meeting and help us help you. Lunch will be provided as well as points given for those who sign in their club.
Workshops
Critical Thinking Workshop - Cardiovascular Fitness: Having a healthy heart
Wednesday, July 1 Field House
We will concentrate on the factors of cardiovascular fitness and discuss the importance of exercise and finding your target heart-rate. Students will learn how to use Fieldhouse cardio equipment properly and how often they should exercise. Meet at the fieldhouse gymnasium. Workout attire is encouraged but not required. For more information, call 364-4301.
Volunteer Opportunities
SGA Office and Office of Student Life- If you want to volunteer some time with your SGA and get some points for your club at the same time, come by the SGA office or the Office of Student life. Get involved in your college life!
